catching up...still :)

More updating...won't wait this long again...ahh probably will.

Laura's neverevending bday, well not really, just posts on it. For her bday "party" I took her skating with Sarah and Emily, she loves to skate but we don't go often, so she fell a few times and hurt herself, but would get up and go again, no pics from that because I love skating and I wasn't taking my camera, we'll just have the memories...

On Monday she opened her presents from us....she got scriptures, then a big box, that had a smaller wrapped box, that had a smaller wrapped box, and so on (so much fun!)...she loves this. I did this for Cole with a gift card (cause the child loves money) and Laura LOVED it and asked me to do if for her and I did and she loved it and the earrings that were in the last box. She's been asking for a year to have her ears pierced, so we went for it. Right after she wasn't so happy, but it didn't take long to recover.

before
after, she smiled soon after this pic :)

and the last thing she opened was a card that told her clues to her last gift...a violin, we got it cheap (for a violin) and she was so excited, we went to look at them thinking I might get one for Hannah, but Laura was much more interested than Hannah and Hannah can grow into this one. We'll see how it goes.

THE PARTY

so I made have a made a slight mistake in renting the Hannah Montana movie cause it's been Hannah Montana fever ever since (and she was only six and 3/4 at the time) and maybe another mistake by agreeing to that theme for the party. I felt like I was in the middle of a 13 year old's party.
They put on make-up, squealed, chased Cole, played Hannah Montana bingo, danced, ate pizza while watcing the HM concert and we finished with a pinata. I then carted a few home and Laura got to bed super late. I'm thinking we'll tone it down a bit next year.

This cake was a Laura original design that I tried to interrupt, didn't get it quite right, but she still liked it, so sweet of her ;).

Happy Birthday Laura, I hope it's a fabulous year!!!!!

My Sweet Laura

turned 6 today... I still remember finding out she was a girl, Cole loving my tummy, the cravings, the labor pains, delivering, seeing her for the first time, being concerned about her, being overjoyed to have her home. I am amazed by her, tested by her, adored by her (which I absolutely love). She was a red head from the get go and has been true to it ever since. She is super strong physically. If she wants something done and it's remotely possible that she can accomplish it, she will. She is concerned for other people. She's incredibly shy, except at home. She loves to be in charge, whether it's her imaginary students at home or her daddy. She's carried Hannah around since we brought her home. Hannah's about too big now for her to get away with it. She loves the water, sugar, music, my make up, jewelry, to cook, clean, interpretive dance. She is in every sense of the word a lady. She can dress me and is incredibly particular about how she's dressed, which I admire even thought it can make for frustrating days. She's a hard worker and a good helper. I love that she's her own person, that she can hold her own and that's she's mine. I so looke forward to the person she's becoming, I know I will be amazed, much like I am now. I love you Lar! Happy Birthday!
