Cole - Halo (scratched out as directed by his mother), Electricity, Shelter, Food, Family, Soccer, Bed
Brandon - Jennifer, Laura, Hannah, Cole, Extended fmaily, Jesus Christ, Heavenly Father, The Gospel, The Church, firends, leaders, my job, our home, food, shelter, protection, our country, it's leaders, those serving in the military, service given, service received, agency, truth, education, scriptures, prophets, good books, technology, medicine and science, my calling, the way I was rasied, love, warm showers, cold water, cold milk, Christmas.
Jennifer - An understanding and handsome husband, a thoughtful and bright son, a caring and generous middle daughter, a happy and sharing youngest daughter, water, the Earth, Jesus, commandments, scriptures, music, good books, technology, heat/socks/fire, good people, food, exercise, change
We are so blessed as a family as a people...so much to be grateful for so many things taken for granted. I hope I live in Thanksgiving daily...like these people..

Beautiful Things - Giving Thanks

In Sacrament meeting on Sunday six year old Emma T. sang this song, it's very simple but such a nice way to express a love of the beautiful things we have on this Earth and above. I am so thankful for the many beautiful things this life has to offer.
On a side note I have an "Edward" crush (I didn't catch the Twilight fever and feel a little left out, so here's mine) on the composer of this song...never laid eyes on him :).
1. Blue skies, mountains, rainbows, fountains:
These are some things I love to see.
Rivers, canyons, pine trees, oceans:
Heavenly Father made them for me.
[Chorus]Life is o’erflowing with beautiful things
Made by our loving and glorious King.
If I but strive to be grateful and true,
I can be happy in all that I do.
2. Music, laughter, peace thereafter:
These are some things I love to hear.
Please’s, thank you’s, may I’s, can do’s:
Hearing them fills my heart with good cheer.
Chorus
3. Silky flowers, cool rain showers:
These are some things I love to feel.
Promptings, guidance, warm assurance:
That’s how I know the Spirit is real.
[Chorus]Life is o’erflowing with beautiful things
Made by our loving and glorious King.
If I but strive to be grateful and true,
I can be happy in all that I do.
here's a link to listen (doesn't compare to Emma's version)

Living in a university town with the ward boundaries being in close proximity to the school makes for a lot of people coming and going. It is sad to see people go, but I've learned so much over the years and been loved and served in manners that amaze me. Thank you!!!

Backing up a bit to Thanksgiving
This season seems to have been the busiest we've had in a while and I've not told of all our happenings. So here goes with Thanksgiving. Carmen and Mom were going to visit Melissa so we all had our Thanksgiving dinner the Saturday before. It was weird but good good good to have the good food before Turkey day. So on turkey day I decided to break from tradition and we had heavy appetizers like meatballs, mini quiche, smokies, brie and cranberry wraps, and I can't remember what else but it was good (it's my favorite kind of meal). Daddy G. came to visit us and we played, ate and napped. We put up our Christmas tree sometime earlier in the week.
Friday we headed to visit my dad in Jacksonville where we played basketball, rode bikes and had a gloriously fun time trying to get Hannah to sleep, isn't it funny how that sticks out in my memory :). The next day we traveled to the temple, the kids love the bookstore and downtown disney.
We left our camera at mom's so no pics for that little trip. More to catch up on later.
